Meet WoodsWalker
I am Paul Ahlen and I am the owner and your trainer at Woods Walker. I feel I have benefited greatly from the opportunities in my career to train under and work with some extremely talented professionals in the industry. Now it's my turn to share, give back, and pass along the lessons I've learned wherever I can!

Background
Paul has benefited from working in many different parts of the Green Industry, and in many different parts of the country. A reoccurring theme through all the years though, has been his love for being in the woods.

While he picked up his first chainsaw when he was still in high school, his first formal training on using it didn't occur until he went to college. Paul's love of being in the woods did not speed him along in his academics, but in 2001 he graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Forest Management from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. Even before graduating, he was a regular assistant instructor for the college's chainsaw operations class and routinely repairing and rebuilding chainsaws for a local chainsaw dealer.

His chainsaw experience continued to grow over the years while working for a couple different state agencies, and a large municipality. Running a chainsaw was always a part of that work, sometimes clearing trails and roads, cutting invasive species, or pruning trees along residential streets. Paul worked for two different private residential arboricultural companies over the years too. One was a small company, and the other was a very large company that operates all over the country. Most recently he worked for a large training company where he led training sessions from California to New York, and everywhere in between.

Today you get to benefit from that varied work experience and work with Paul directly with your own, private training.
